Remote Learning for Students that are Self-Isolating
During your time of self-isolation, we still want you to connect with your subjects so that you are in a strong position when you return to school. Your Subject Leaders have indicated which topics each year group should follow below, as these connect to your current Learning Programme, supporting the work that you will continue with when you return to the classroom
For each day you are at home:
- Look at your timetable for the school day, then click onto your year group and select the subjects that your need to work on for each hour for that day. We would expect you to follow your timetable as much as you can during your isolation time, so for example, if you have Maths on a Wednesday period 3 on your timetable, we would expect you to explore a Maths task for an hour at home.
- Each task is designed for you to spend just under an hour on. If you finish before the hour, there is an extension task that you can do. There are also other resources you can engage with including reading. If you are working on a video lesson it is important that you watch everything through and complete the tasks that the teacher asks you to.
- Each subject tells you where you need to submit your work once it is completed.
Recording your work:
Please make a note of the work you do each day so that we can track your engagement when your teacher talks through this with you on your return to school.
Additional Resources
The majority of subjects will be utilising Oak National Academy but there may be some subjects where the Oak lessons do not align to the learning Programme. In these cases, the Subject Leader has listed the resource you should engage with and links to these are listed. Resources could include: a PowerPoint lesson to work through, an online booklet to follow, a reading exercise or links to other year group specific online platforms such as Seneca, My Maths, Tassomai or GCSE Pod. We would encourage you to try to do some reading during your period of self-isolation – a list of books can be found below:
