Teacher Training

We work with different providers to support those wanting to enter the teaching profession. We offer placements across a range of subjects including Art and Design, Biology, Computer Science, Drama, English, Geography, History, Music, Modern Languages, Physical Education and Religious Studies. Associate Teachers are given a mentor linked to their subject as well as weekly Professional Studies sessions with the Senior Mentor and other school colleagues to support their learning and development.

We have trained ECT mentors to support those colleagues in the first 2 years of their teaching career. The programme for ECTs is delivered by Best Practice Network in conjunction with Cheshire Teaching School Hub.
