We prepare our students to become positive members of society, having dignity and respect for each other, for their learning and for their wider community, and have a better understanding of the Christian faith.

We believe the best way to learn and promote these values is to embed our key principles into all that we do and invest in regular programmes such as; School Assemblies, Form time, Lessons 4 Life, Extended Curriculum Days, Personal Development, Skill 4 Success, the EDGE, Archbishop of York Award scheme, and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme. We also encourage all students to participate in our wide ranging extra-curricular actives that are available most lunch-times, after school or during weekends and school holidays.

We have a comprehensive Gold Award careers programme that starts in Year 8 meeting 7 out of the 8 Gatsby benchmarks. As one of only thirty STEM Assured schools we are committed to continual improvement and innovation of our curriculum provision, ensuring it is of a consistent high quality that keeps pace with the rapid advances in technology and the changing jobs market. There is a clear programme of engagement with local employers and key stakeholders who visit the school on a regular basis, providing workshops with real world needs and scenarios together with inspiring breakfast seminars that give hope and aspiration to our pupils.
